Windows Active Directory Authentication Content Filter

2.3 Community joined successfully to 2003 domain with 2008 controller. Proxy is transparent.
I select groups that I want to be able to deny to certain sites while the rest are denied. Everyone's denied no matter the login (part of the group or not).
I've tried removing the comment as described in one of the bugs, but authplugins ntlm for dans is not even in the directory so that didn't work (and doesn't let the content filter start).
Any hints?
