Title: HTTP proxy
Post by: uniquegodwin on Friday 31 October 2008, 02:46:59 pm
Hello everyone,
I have a small doubt here ...

When HTTP proxy with authentication is enabled and proxy is set to transparent, users are supposed to be prompted for username/password right?

or.....does the authentication for proxy have a different meaning??

I'm migrating from Kerio Winroute to Endian....

Thanks so much...

Hi,

if your Proxy on green is Transparent no User and Pass is need, this only comes up when you change Transparent to Auth..

i set proxy to "authentication required", then i set configure the browser to use the proxy..
when i'm trying to access internet, it's prompt me to type username and password..., IT'S WORK... DONE....

BUT, when i set the browser to not use the proxy, i can still access the internet, without prompting me...

Hi,

I assume you're using Endian as your default route on your network?
