ok so, i have found a solution.
it is:

echo -n mem > /sys/power/state

but the problem now, is, it will not WAKE after a wake-on-lan magic packet.

can someone help me figure out why it wont WOL, after suspend ?

it WOL's perfectly from a full shutdown (shutdown -h now)
