Hello guys,

So...I just installed endian and I'm testing it for a relative small network (500 max clients), i'll start by showing some information about the machine.

Hardware:
Code:
Proc: i5@3.10 GHZ
Ram: 4 GB DDR3
Hdd: 1 TB
NICS: 2 x 1 GB cards

The problem
The problem is the following...after a certain time ( aprox 1 hour) EFW starts to work slow, the internet speed drops from 98 Mpbs to 4 Mpbs and the latencity increases very much.

the ping starts at 99 ms and goes down to <1 then goes up again to 100 and counting down again...and so on till the end of time Smiley

If I reboot EFW it works fine for about and hour or so.... I have looked into the logs to see what could trigger this and I think the following thing is the problem.

This error seems to come from a setting or component in the server but I haven't managed to track the respective setting/component responsible yet.

So...anyone willing to trow an idea into this issue?

I had the exact same problem! But my CPU was Intel Pentium G620 at first. I guess the reason is that the latest hardware we use is not supported by the EFW 2.4.1. I tried to change NICS (1Gb D-Link, 100Mb D-Link, old realtek cards...) but...
The problem was solved using Intel 945 MB, E4600 CPU and DDR2 memory...

Almost forgot about this thread Smiley

The problem was from the NIC's, those Intel gigabit cards suffered from overheating and that caused them to go nuts.

Because they are in confined space the heat go to them, we decided to put AC in those rooms and the problem disappeared.
