Title: static port nat without 1:1
Post by: grazman on Saturday 31 October 2009, 01:20:45 am
I have a need to use static port nat (symmetric nat) for a few ports/ranges.

This has never worked for me through all the 2.x release candidates. In looking through the features list I do not see it is specifically listed, and I have now have wondered if there is an alternative way to do this. I don't want or need a 1:1 NAT for this, because that defeats my purpose.

In other words, I need a way to forward some ports without the source port being overwritten. I have peers who are also puzzled at how to do this.

Example:

RED at 1.2.3.4
Green at 10.0.0.1

I have a sip server at 10.0.0.10 and I want to forward ports

5060 (both tcp and udp), 5080 (both tcp and udp) and 30000-31000 (udp) to 10.0.0.10. When traffic leaves and comes back I want it to always remain on the same port.

Can Endian do this?

we are using 2.3 versino with sipx and it works without issues.
