Anyone have installed vmware tools in 3.2.0 beta1 release ?

this is the error:

Initializing...

sh: /usr/lib/vmware-tools/sbin/vmware-checkvm: No such file or directory
sh: /usr/lib/vmware-tools/sbin/vmware-checkvm: No such file or directory
sh: /usr/lib/vmware-tools/sbin64/vmware-modconfig-console: No such file or directory
This configuration program is to be executed in a virtual machine.

Hi Brynet,

What is your environment vmware 5.1, 5.5 or 6? What did you choose as VM OS, Redhat or other and what version?

It look's like your are trying to install VMware tools for linux not open-vmware-tools, right?

endian 3.2 beta 64-bit comes with a very new kernel, which is not compatible with old versions of vmware tools.

Regards

Are there any updates on this? Has anyone figured out how to install open-vm-tools?

Hi

They say support of the VMWare tools only on the Enterprise product.

I hope for open-vm-tools instead ,  a vm whitout vm tools can be instable.
