Title: can't ping green interface after 2.2 install Post by: jvel777 on Monday 12 October 2009, 10:07:53 am I've installed efw 2.2 on a new piece of hardware (asus motherboard, ram, cpu, case, pwr sply, hd, realtek nic's), configure the green interface and am unable to ping it. I realize that the configured interface during install is br0 and not eth0 or eth1. Motherboard BIOS has been updated as well.
I'm wondering if my nic's are on the supported matrix. They are Realtek nics. I did install Vyatta on them successfully which is also open source so I'm wondering if there is an issue with EFW not supporting my hardware. You can log into the machine after a restart using the root account and password "endian". You can use ethtool and ifconfig to check that everything is properly configured. Check out my thread, titled almost exactly the same: http://efwsupport.com/index.php?topic=378.0 It also explains briefly how to re-order the interfaces as with my machine they were completely out of order. In that thread the one I thought would be green actually wasn't what endian thought was green. |
