In Endian Firewall >> Firewall >> Outgoing firewall
create new rule to Deny port 443 for
173.252.0.0/16
69.0.0.0/8
31.13.0.0/16
72.246.0.0/16
124.0.0.0/8
This will block https facebook.

Is that really only facebook networks or is this a huge dragnet that may end up catching other networks and web sites as well

Most of it is Facebook network, but it can also be huge dragnet, i had been using this successful to block https facebook on transparent proxy in a 500 user environment and there is nothing significant https site in this ip range except facebook. If some other sites comes up, it can be solved on a case to case basis.

Updated IP
Firewall >> outgoing firewall deny 443 (This should be above allow 443 rule)
125.56.0.0/16
173.252.0.0/16
69.0.0.0/8
31.13.0.0/16
72.246.0.0/16
124.0.0.0/8
Facebook keeps updating the IPs, to findout the your facebook IP, use firefox >> firebug >> Net - This will display the IPs from which firefox is loading.

Facebook keeps updating their IPs and it loads from different IPs from different locations.
To find out your facebook IP use Firefox >> Firebug >> Net - this will display all IPs.

Hi all,
Here is the simplest and most effective way to block access to facebook or any other HTTPS site:
h t t p://help.endian.com/entries/21601411-How-to-block-facebook-or-other-https-websites
I have tried this on the latest 2.5.2 version and it works. I have had to put spaces in the http above in order to post it.

From mozilla firefox -- firebug >> net - You can view all IPs of facebook
create a deny rule in Firewall >> outgoing traffic >> position top - above 443
