Title: Can no longer access Endian...?! Post by: Vinbob on Friday 18 December 2009, 02:07:42 pm Hello All,
I have just gone through the initial configuration of my Endian Firewall and having applied the changes, the system did not come back with the main menu and I am now unable to access via its IP. I have chosen the default 192.168.0.15/24 IP but am wondering if I should have chosen a different IP for my Green network. I have also configured other interfaces as follows: Green - 192.168.0.15 (eth3) Blue - 10.0.0.1 (eth0) Orange - 192.168.10.1 (eth2) Red - DHCP from Cable Modem (eth1) I have not plugged anything into the RED interface yet and basically have a cable going from the eth3 (green) adapter to a ethernet switch which is connected to my cable modem. Things were working just fine on my private 192.168.0.x network. Do I need to start plugging the cables into the Endian appliance to make things work? Should I have chosen a different IP for the Green network? Sorry if I sound a little lost here but networking is not my specialty and would appreciate any help on moving forward with this. Cheers, Vin. Title: Re: Can no longer access Endian...?! Post by: gyp_the_cat on Friday 18 December 2009, 09:04:26 pm Hi Vin,
Can you ping 192.168.0.15 from your internal network? Title: Re: Can no longer access Endian...?! Post by: Vinbob on Saturday 19 December 2009, 01:23:56 pm No, I cannot. I used to be able to but once I went through the configuration wizard and setup all the interfaces, something has been setup incorrectly to now make the Firewall unreachable.
Anyone any ideas...?! :-/ Cheers, Vin. Title: Re: Can no longer access Endian...?! Post by: Vinbob on Sunday 20 December 2009, 07:59:01 am Doh!!!! - I just figured the issue out. After I went through the initial Wizard configuration, the Green network got switched over to a different NIC. I figured I would plug the network cable and try all the other interfaces and sure enough, it worked when I plugged into a different card.
Problem solved! :) Cheers, Vin. Title: Re: Can no longer access Endian...?! Post by: gyp_the_cat on Monday 21 December 2009, 09:30:51 pm Glad to hear it Vin :)
