Setting up VLANs
«

I'm trying to setup a managed switch to work w/ my Endian box. I've got a switch configured with several VLANs, and everything works fine if the Endian doesn't have any VLANs configured, but if I add one to the Endian then I can't access anything when I plug into that VLAN.
So, here's what it looks like right now:
Endian -> VLAN 30 setup on blue zone -> VLAN 30 on managed switch -> PC = doesn't work
Endian -> green NIC (no VLAN) -> dumb switch -> pc = works
This also works
Endian -> blue zone (no VLAN) -> VLAN 30 on managed switch -> PC = works

I've got it fixed now. There were some configuration issues on the switch itself, and then on the Endian I needed to setup each VLAN on each NIC, not just on the one associated w/ it's respective zone.

I was meaning to reply to let you know I had it set up also. In our rig, we've got ESXi sitting in between our managed switch and the Endian router, so in addition to setting up the VLAN on the Endian box and on the switch, we had to set the ESXi server vNIC to 4096, so it didn't strip the VLAN id. Having it set to 0 won't work.
