Hi all,

Long time Community user and first time forum contributor, I've been using Endian Community edition since the 2.1 or 2.2 days. I'm not in a position to upgrade to the appliance. I'm thinking the Mercury or Macro X. The latest EFW I've used, I think, is 2.3.

I REALLY want to support Endian. Currently, I have Cisco firewall High Availability. I'll only be using Endian as Proxy and some other small things [maybe DNS and DHCP]. However, my fear is of the commercial support available for the appliance and the development support to resolve bugs. I prioritise bugs over feature requests.

Are Endian in a realistic position to support the hardware and software, if I pay for annual maintenance?

Thanks in advance.

Feedback from one of my  who is using enterprise version and paid for support is not happy. He said he is not getting a support for which he paid and done the contract.

Thanks for that. That is very disheartening.

Yes at some stage earlier I was also considering to get enterprise version but the cost involved made me to stick with community version. Though it has many flaws but for now it is ok for us...

As a user of the Community version and a Reseller of the Commercial product, I have been satisfied with support of the commercial product (have both software and hardware appliances installed).  Issues with the commercial products have been minimal and easily resolved.
