Hello!

I've been away from Endian for some years but have been inclined to come back as the  of alternatives I had been using aren't up to scratch.

I'm having troubles getting Endian implemented though (2.4) and wonder if anyone with a similar environment can poke me in the right direction. I've followed the instructions on the helpfile but clearly I'm missing a few pointers. specifically, I'm struggling to get PPTP traffic to pass through, incoming SMTP routing is failing and HTTP proxy isn't operating.

Our basic setup - RED is connected to a broadband router. Incoming firewall rules on the router for 25 & 1723 point to efw's red interface address. All other incoming ports on the router are off (this works fine for the current solution - Cyberoam). On GREEN is a MS SBS 2003 network with Exchange.

PPTP:
I've set incoming Portforwards for SMTP, PPTP & GRE from Any Uplink to the Domain Server. I've also set Outgoing rules from GREEN to RED for PPTP & GRE. This should work right?

SMTP:
Other than the portforward, I've set SMTP proxy to be transparent on GREEN (inactive on RED) and specified mailserver settings in incoming domain to point to the Exchange Server. Incoming mail is getting through.

HTTP:
Haven't had much time to look to much into this one but have successfully joined efw to domain. Proxy is running as transparent and no webpages are being served

My problem is that I don't get much time to test live so I have to keep taking offline to configure before giving things a quick try. All service status are green so I'm guessing my issues are with configuration. Back the last time I used endian, I seem to remember specifying all sorts in the host file (I have placed entries for the domain server and second (dns) server on the network but not much else). I've also configured the DNS proxy / DNS Routing with the domain DNS server details. Otherwise, I think everything else is as installed.

Can anyone give me some pointers on anything I may have missed or not configured?

Many thanks!
