I installed 2.5 on an identical machine and then restored a current backup of 2.4.1. It seems to be working except for one thing - an IPSEC tunnel won't work now.

Absolutely not working, because IPSec in EFW 2.5 using StrongSWAN while IPSec in EFW 2.4.1 using OpenSWAN Smiley

It's different configurations...

hum, I've just a question concerning the update process. I've got Endian Community v1.4.2 and I want to update it with the command shell efw-upgrade. I'm wondering why the script tells me that there is no new packages and that there is no interesting upgrades available ?

Does the repo mentioned is correct ? (mymail@updates.endian.org/stable/repodata)

what i'm missing ?
thanks a lot.

Upgrades from Endian Firewall Community 2.4.1 to version 2.5 will be available by the end of January 2012.
Maybe it's too early?

Hi brinbrin,

you said you need to upgrade from 1.4.2? Do you mean 2.4.1? if you do mean 1.4.2, you need to upgrade with the method stated in the howto's for systems prior to 2.2.

if you meant 2.4.1, then sindrom is probably correct.

regards
Marc
