first post -> hello forum!
upgraded from efw 2.1.2 community -> efw 2.2 community release.

before upgrade it was possible to access a webserver residing on green through owa.xxxx.de which has a dns"A" record at public dns.
so all pcs/pdas/server looked up the dns record from public dns and then were able to access the server no matter if in- our outside the firm.

after the upgrade the ip is still resolved correctly, but there is a timeout connecting to the webserver.
if we use the hostname which is resolved through internal dns we can connect without a problem, which really is no big think as this should be normal! :-)

we are runnig squid in transparent mode. if i force ie to use proxy everything is fine.
these machines should not be configured to use a dedicated proxy. so this is not a solution.

i can ping to owa.xxxx.de from green to red. but no http/https.

is this something about "system rules" maybe?

Hope someone can help.

Patrick

problem solved:
added local ip and hostname to host entry in host configuration.

192.168.5.104 -> owa.x.de

now internal access is possible and it does not need to resolve external ip.
