Endian Bridge Mode - Red interface

Hi all,

I am playing with Endian and I want to set it up in bridged mode example LAN -> Endian -> Router but whenever I try to set it up the Outgoing Interface (Red - WAN) is greyed out and i can't select it. I enter the default gateway but can't go any further, as it says i need to select a outgoing Red interface but it wont let me.

Basically I want Endian to act as an internal firewall, antivirus, proxy, filter and cache for all incoming and outgoing data. Am I doing this right? Am i missing something?

I have tried Untangle (which is still running but doesnt do filtering or caching unless you pay), ClearOs (didnt get on with), Smoothwall Express (didnt like). Endian seems brilliant if i can just get this sorted.

Need to select 'gateway' mode specifying the router ip address as the gateway/uplink ip address . . . . .
i.e.
Wrkstn (192.168.1.10) -> EFW (192.168.1.2) -> Router (192.168.1.1)

The workstation needs to have the Endian/EFW ip address as its gateway address which in turn the EFW/Endian will then pass to the router.

Any workstation that has the router ip address as gateway would bypass the EFW

Set the EFW/Endian with 2 NICs, one 'Green', one 'Red'

Wrkstn (192.168.1.10) -> EFW Green (192.168.1.1) / EFW Red (192.168.3.2) -> Router (192.168.3.1) -> internet/isp

Would this be in router Ethernet mode?  As it will only let me use Ethernet DHCP, if I choose Ethernet Static it errors saying the Green and Red networks are not distinct.

Just in case anyone is looking for the solution for bridged mode and greyed out Red interface.
Make sure you TICK BOTH NICs in step 3/8 of the Network Setup Wizard.

So you now have 2 ticks in both the GREEN NICs

Now in step 4/8 the untrusted interface is magically un-greyed and you can proceed.

Bridge / Stealth mode is great, you can place Endian in-line to the current router, just make sure any port-forwards on the upstream router point to Endian.
