Title: Endian proxy cache on stripped RAID volume
Post by: john_cic on Monday 18 October 2010, 04:22:49 pm
Hi,

I have Endian Firewall 2.3 installed on an IBM SystemX 3550 M2.  I have 4x 146GB HDD's and created 2 volumes using the on-board SAS controller - 2 mirrored HDD's (146Gb) for OS and 2 stripped HDD's (292GB) for proxy cache.

I am not very good with Linux, so i need some help here...

How do i mount 292GB volume and move the proxy cache to that?  I assume i need to create a partition on the volume and then modify the fstab to use the new volume... Is this correct?

Here is the output of df -h

Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb1              23G  651M   21G   4% /
/dev/sdb6              92G  3.3G   84G   4% /var
/dev/sdb3             101M  5.0M   91M   6% /var/efw
/dev/sdb5              20G  570M   18G   4% /var/log

I have had a look through /dev and I'm pretty sure the 292GB volume is /dev/sda

Steps would be a big help and much appreciated. :)

Cheers,
John
