Hello everyone. As i am new to the endian world i do apologize for the simple questions.

I am playing around with Ntop for statics and also using a bunch of the graphs for reporting. I share my internet connection with a student house so i like to keep on top of things with it.

As for Ntop i notice when i reboot it does not retain the statics. Is there a way to have it save them and just add on say for a month. so every 31 days it would roll over?
this is the same for my graphs on net usage, uptime, CPU and memory time. Overall bandwidth used.

Is there a way i can have these keep the data so they can display for a longer term?

I moved from smoothwall and so far love endian but the logging on smoothwall was well done so im just trying to get over the learning curve on how its done in endian.

Thank you all.

mmm... in /etc/collectd.conf I found:

DataDir /tmp/collectd/rrd

I changed with

DataDir /var/lib/collectd/rrd

I hope this fix

I think that /var/lib/collectd/rrd was missing
collectd writes in /tmp/collectd/rrd
then /usr/local/bin/sync_collectd_rrd.sh copy from tmp to var/lib
but if rrd dir is missing it failed
