Hello to everyone I am new in this I.T. world and to EFW. My problem is when im installing the EFW it will ask you to assign your IP address. If I will put for example 192.168.0.1 it will work or i can ping it, but if i will put 192.168.1.3-254 I cannot ping it? does the EWF need to be on 192.168.0?

Hi,

You can make the IP address anything you want as long as the machine you are trying to ping it from is on the same IP range and subnet mask.

If you set it to 192.168.1.3 then your computers address needs to be anything in the 192.168.1.1 - 254 range as long as it is not the same as the address you have given the firewall. You might have to set it manually in your network settings initially and then you can use the DHCP server on the firewall to assign addresses after you have configured it.
