I switched on IPSEC vpn, configured a connection, but it doesn't work.
IPSEC, in Status -> services, is always STOPPED.
Any suggestion?
Thanx

I'm having the same problem, even with the link enabled the services page still reports stopped and the link is constantly connecting.

Did you have any joy with yours?

1) download
http://share.endian.com/luca/public/efw-ipsec-3.0.52-1.endian9.noarch.rpm
http://share.endian.com/luca/public/jobsengine-3.0.26-1.endian5.i586.rpm

2) Update packages ENDIAN 3.0, is not necessary in ENDIAN 2.5.2 or earlier
rpm -U http://share.endian.com/luca/public/efw-ipsec-3.0.52-1.endian9.noarch.rpm
rpm -U http://share.endian.com/luca/public/jobsengine-3.0.26-1.endian5.i586.rpm

3)  After upgrading reboot

OK, IPsec is now working fine, after changing some firewall rules, but the VPN service is still shown as "stopped" on the status page.

Hello, newbie here.

Reading this post, I found out that is my same problem with my EFW 3.0, I have accomplished the conection in the VPN/IPSEC section, but I can't access to the other side of the conexion. I've configure an ipsec net to net conection. I think that the part I'm missing is the Firewall rules, would X-Dimension post the rules he configure or at least explain how he did it. The only thing I did, was openning the ports 500, 4500 and 50 on the incoming section of the Firewall.

I can't find anywhere how to configure the firewall to allow this trafic.

Another issue I have detected is that in the status section, I see the VPN (ipsec) as stopped, but if I run in the shell #ipsec status it shows me that the conection is up.

I'll appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you
