So I have a gigabit ether card, made by intel. plugged into ANY other linux and it works like its supposed to. in the endian i get 100mb. i cant force set it. i cant add a driver to the distro. any ideas?

To see the capabilities:
ethtool eth0

To try to force 1Gbps
ethtool -s eth0 speed 1000 duplex full

Other than that, there isn't much to do
