is there anyway to cache windows updates, we are currently using transparent proxy with anti-virus and content filtering, is there anyway for updates to be cached for downloading everytime windows update is accessed from the other machines ?

There is a  add-on called "Update Accelerator" for IPCop, and as you may know that Endian is customized from IPCop, I am sure in the future you will see this as a feature in Endian.

Why not get the WSUS package and install it on a server / machine. This way the updates are downloaded once and machine access the WSUS server for updates instead of downloading it individually AND a plus is that you manage what downloads are pushed to your Win clients.
