Title: HTTP Connection Timeout Post by: crnlblawson on Monday 02 November 2009, 09:16:23 am I have a website that allows very large HTTP uploads... (100M+) after I installed my Endian firewall I get connection errors while uploading these file (may take up to 20 min) with the proxy enabled and transparent it takes around 100-120 seconds before I get a 404 error site not found... If I disable the proxy... it will last for around 300 seconds before I get this error? Any insight on how I can have the proxy server enabled and not have these connection timeouts? The uploads under the proxy settings were set to 0 for unlimited size uploads, but I'm running into connection timeouts somewhere. New to Endian, so this may be a dumb question. Thanks for any help.

Title: Re: HTTP Connection Timeout Post by: crnlblawson on Tuesday 03 November 2009, 08:15:38 am yes... doing transparent... had another endian user tell me that I will have to go into the config for squid and change settings there. Anyone agree??? Disagree???
Title: Re: HTTP Connection Timeout Post by: entourage on Wednesday 21 April 2010, 01:13:18 am I was wondering the same thing. We have clients that need access to FTP sites from time to time and some are terribly slow. If I bypass the proxy and wait it out, I can eventually connect.
The squid page I found on timeouts is here: http://www.visolve.com/squid/squid30/timeout.php (http://www.visolve.com/squid/squid30/timeout.php) but I'm not sure what to modify. Suggestions? |
