Hi Guys,

I really like the Endian firewall and I believe that is the best open source firewall offered now in the wild , But i have a really wired problem, which is I have a massive internes slowness when using Endian as a proxy either transparent or explicit. Once i deactivate virus scanning and outgoing firewall every thing back to normal state and internet become much faster, Also I have checked the load average through top command and every thing was fine

The server specification is

1 GB RAM
2 G Processor
30 G HDD
2 internet links main and backup - failover tested and it works well.
Any ideas about this problem

Thanks in advance .

Hi all,

Last week, I installed EFW2.5 to solve some IPSec problems. Since then IPSec is working fine but the internet connection is very very slow. Speed is close to zero Byte/s
I use it on VMware (was ok on 2.4.1).

No QoS, no AV, no Proxy is activated.

Any idea?

Thanks for your help.

Actually isn't my case, EFW is working fine without AV and just it . you can check the load average from shell by command top I believe there is something with load in your case .

the problem has been solved after doing several adjustments for the max size of content to be scanned, I'm not quite sure if that was the actual root cause or not.

Thanks .
