Switch to backup Endian if 1st one fails

Is it possible to run 2 Endian Firewalls but have it so if one falls over the traffic can be re-directed transparently to the 2nd server. We are still on 2.2 and running on Server 2003 but the plan is to stick the new 2.4 version on a 2008 Server and start from scratch rather than update. Can we copy all the whitelists and blacklists, manual allowed sites etc from any config files or do we need to just start again?
Thanks in advance.
