Title: Port Forwarding Problem Post by: bwibisono on Friday 17 May 2013, 09:01:21 pm Hi All,
Our company has branch that are connected to the office by the internet. We installed endian as gateway, with 1.2.3.4 at the office and 5.6.7.8 at the branch office. Currently our web server (172.16.11.2) is already managed to NAT at 1.2.3.4. We intend to port forwarding in the branch office at 5.6.7.8, as a backup in case the office’s link is offline. However, we encountered a problem that the web server cannot be accessed using IP 5.6.7.8, the connection always loopback until the time is out. Anyone has ever had the same experience? Thank You. You would also be dealing with a double-NAT issue, which goes beyond my knowledge. I can only suggest to go to Firewall -> Port Forwarding / NAT -> Source NAT, then add a rule for 0.0.0.0/0 source, green and possibly orange for destination, and all ports with auto source address. The other firewall might require the same setup, or you may have to do something different due to double-NAT'ing. Title: Re: Port Forwarding Problem Post by: jamerson on Saturday 18 May 2013, 08:43:07 am you need to allow on both endian green and red interfaces eth0 and eth1,
so both endian will listen to each others! |
