red link - ethernet dhcp - but not working...

Hi,
I have a test endian firewall and I have it inside our network, with a w2k server handing out dhcp.
I made the red interface go to our network, and set it to ethernet dhcp. But it does not get an ip address
if i go to a console and run dhclient manually - it gets the ip address ok.
either way, in the web interface the uplink status is "stopped"
is there somewhere to poke at to fix this?
Eventually I plan to be running red via a bridged adsl modem, so it will be pppoe dhcp, I hope that method will behave differently.
regards
Brian
