We have just upgraded to a 50Mbps circuit, (Wideband TWC)

I cannot get the speed through the endian box, that i can when hooked directly to the modem?

Any ideas on where my bottleneck would be?  It seems my speed is that of a 20Mbps connection... The same adobe file donwloaded whenhooked to the modem is about 6.0Mbps, when goign through endian, it is abotu 1.2-1.5Mbps.....

Any ideas>

QoS? Slow machine?

I usually get about 40Mbps on a 50Mbps connection, but I don't blame EFW about this (I think the ISP doesn't give the full 50Mbps).

Yeah, that is odd. I run mine on an old piece of junk desktop and am getting my full 10mb if I can find someone willing to serve it that fast. Try a direct connection on your modem using a wire (no wireless) and then compare to your EFW numbers. I use speedtest.net for my measurements. I do however run a gig of ram on the EFW; proxies like a lot of ram.

Chek if intrusion prevention is turned off. On my 100Mbps connection I lost 70% with am ATOM D515 or so . With an I5-2400s I still loose 20% when turned on

Bump. This works like a charm! I was getting 5 mbps then I turned off the IDS and it went up to 20 mbps. Anyone running EFW should take note.

Very odd.  still experiencing same issue.  I am testing this now through speedtest.net , speakeasy.net/speedtest and TWC speed test

On speakeasy and speedtest.net I get the same results, approx 20.0Mbps down and 5.0 Up.   on TWC speedtest I get the full 50 X 5

IDS is turned off and we do use HTTP Proxy
