I am new to Endian and have found the software fairly easy to setup except for a single area, dynamic dns support for Opendns/DNS-O-Matic.

I tried following these instructions; http://forums.opendns.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=1911 but was unable to download the required packages.

Has anyone been able to dynamically update OpenDns with there IP address when it changes?

You can download the files at http://sourceforge.net/projects/ddclient/files/

Use WinSCP to copy the file to your endian box, then 'tar -xzf [filename]' to unpack it. Installation instructions are in the README file.

It'd be nice if Endian updated it's ddns script to support OpenDNS/DNS-O-Matic, though.

I finally got this working today after running into a few problems. I've posted some notes on my website that might be helpful to anyone else trying to set it up: Updating OpenDNS With a Dynamic IP From an Endian Firewall

The gist of it is this:
  • In ddclient.conf, set: use=if, if=eth0
  • Make sure you leave "ssl=yes" and install the two Perl SSL modules
  • Comment out the "mail" and "mail-failure" lines in the conf
  • Make sure there aren't any spaces in the network label
  • Spoof the MAC to get a new IP and test if it's working
