Hi
I want to restart IDS/IPS service in command line, how can i perform this?
If i could perform this in command line can i perform this for other services ?

/etc/rc.d/init.d/snort restart

also might like to know

/etc/rc.d/init.d/"service name" status
/etc/rc.d/init.d/"service name" stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/"service name" start
/etc/rc.d/init.d/"service name" restart
