upgrade from 2.2 => 2.4.1

Hi,

Can't seem to upgrade to 2.4.1  I loaded 2.2 on HP DL365 with raid controller.  I tried to load 2.4.1 on the server but it fail and on Google they recommended to load 2.2 then upgrade to 2.4.1.  I have to register to get an ID, but I get "Error in connection" when I hit the submit button.  I registered on this site and got an ID.  Is this the same ID required for an upgrade?  If so, my 2.2 did not upgrade because the error message says, unable to get file.

So question 1) Is the ID on this forum the same ID required to do an upgrade?
2) Has anyone done this upgrade?
