Endian 2.5.1 High IOPS

I am running Endian 2.5.1 on VMware and after some high IOPS requests I had to monitor Endian and I realized that endian makes
some strange IOPS spikes (up to 1000) which causes problems to the whole vmware infastructure. Any ideas (check the attached png)
why this could be happening and how I can solve it?
