error receiving gmail using pop3s (port 995)

Hello,

I'm having trouble using proxy pop to retrieve gmail emails using pop3 proxy (ssl port 995) on 2 diferent endian servers running 2.5.1 .
Also the smtp  proxy using port 465 (ssl) cannot send emails.
The firewall has those ports disabled to force endian to use the pop3 proxy . But even if I enable those ports on the firewall I cannot send/receive gmail emails. Only by disabling smtp/pop proxy I can use gmail.
Sounds like a bug or something probably wrong with my setup? It's strange one of the servers was installed from scratch and has only a few services enabled...
