Hi,

I've configured my access policy to unfiltered with authentication, but i get blocked when i try to access a local computer only by its name:

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://fe1/

The following error was encountered:
Access Denied.

But if i try to access with http://fe1.vi.pt it works ok.

Is this normal?

I access several resources on my own network using just a hostname without a domain, it works fine.  Check that you have configured the domain properly in Network Configuration for green interface (Domainname:)

Check that your client machine is; configured with the correct DNS suffix search list; configured with a DNS server that can resolve the name, and check that the client machine can resolve the name (without domain) by simply pinging the hostname at a prompt or similar.

In fact, if the client machine is able to resolve the name correctly to an internal IP on the same subnet as the client, the request should not be handled by the proxy server at all, the http request will go directly to the web server, and the server will respond directly to the client.
