Hello,
I have installed a fresh version of efw 2.5.1 and I'm trying to join it on the domain.
I have setted the HTTP proxy authentication and DNS Proxy - DNS Routing, also I have changed the computer and domainname of the efw. (NTLM)
I thing I noted is that winbind.conf  is not generated
Fromt the shell I can ping the dc normally

Any suggestion?
Thank you

EDIT: Ok, I have managed it, HTTP proxy authentication must be enabled to get the windbond.conf generated, it works now Smiley

Any suggestion?

Hi, how do i edit the winbind.conf.tmpl.
My problem is, that endian 2.5 joined the domain successfully, but when i go to "Access Policy">Add access policy>, choose userbased authentication.
I get "Can't find the AD / LDAP server".
I joined the domain using Windows Active Directory (NTLM).
Can anyone please assist Huh

You will need a program called winscp and follow the walkthru below.  The winbind.conf is reset whenever the computer reboots and loads data from the winbind.conf.tmpl so this is the file you need to edit.

Also I find ldap authentication works much better.
