I get, can't install packages every time I try to install 2.3 community. Nothing else to report as it gives no info.
partitions then tries to install and after a little time it gives the error. click ok and says something about grub, not able to install or something and that's it.

Intel dual nic
msi board 6728
1gb ram
3com 905b or c nic
onboard audio video

Perhaps your download of Endian FW is corrupt. I would say download it again and re-burn the image at a slower speed and try it again.
Thanks,
Garrett

I have installed 2.3 on VMware ESXi v4.0 and VMware Server 2.0 (running Ubuntu 9.04 server) with no problems.

Have you verified the ISO against the Checksum? http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/efw/Development/EFW-2.3/EFW-COMMUNITY-2.3-200910270923.iso-md5sum.txt

Just a thought.

I think you are right, must be a corrupt download because the ISO refuses to burn on CD. I thought the problem was my old CDRW disc, but I checked that the ISO was about 11 MB short.

After installing 2.3 the first time it would hang at "GRUB loading stage2..." during boot up.  I re-installed without console access and it now boots fine Smiley
Is that the error you were getting?
