I have setup a 2.5.1 in PPPOE on a network with a SBS2011 server setup port forwarding for HTTPS, VPN and RDP to my SBS.

All forwarding works except for the 3389 for RDP I have even tried to setup a different external port i.e. 3390 -> 3389

I have setup this same type of environment for my previous company with ver 2.4.

I don’t understand why its not working. (All ports worked when we had just an adsl modem in place)

Any guidance would be appreciated

Are you trying the same settings that is mentioned here.

Type incoming IP:
PublicIP

Incoming Service/Port:
Port: 3389
Service: TCP/UDP

Translate to IP:
RemoteMachineIP
Port: 3389

NAT

Access From:
Any

Remote connection must be enabled and you have to add exception on the machine's firewall (try to disable it and check) if any, also ensure that the remote services must be started. Check other machine's remote connection by adding only 3389 tcp/udp port. In my environment the remote connection is working properly...

Thanks for the point in the right direction. Windows firewall was off but we had installed the new Kaspersky server ver that now has a firewall in it and was allowing RDP from local IP's but not remote IP's
