Title: EFW Installation on ML110 G8 Post by: Neo on Tuesday 15 July 2014, 07:59:22 pm I am trying to install the latest EFW Community Edition on a HP ML110 G8 and after booting up, the installation cannot detect the CDROM to proceed with the installation.

Will try using an external (usb) CDROM and see if I can get past this first error. I am still worried about the HDD since they may be sharing the same controller. Will update the post later on today if I succeed. On Alt F3, I am seeing an error to do with USB ports not being detected and a "FATAL - 82152 module not found" error.

I finally solved this problem. If your installation of EFW 3.0 boots to the BLUE screen and flickers there, consider getting into your setup and changing the SATA mode to ACHI. I did this on an ML 310 G8 server and it's up and running now. All the best and easy securing ! ! ! |
