Endian is shown on browse list
«

Hello,
I noticed that an EFW PC icon is shown in network browse list, from any windows clients. This appears when samba is configured by the EFW GUI to enable users and groups authentication from active directory. Obiouvsly there is nothing to do when I try to open the EFW icon.
Is there any tricks to disable the network announce to avoid EFW shows is icon in browse list? (I think it is a Samba setting but I don'k know it).
Btw EFW 2.2 final is the version I use.
Thanks in advance
Davide

in 2.3 this is fixed. however in 2.2 you need to edit the /etc/samba/smb.conf and add lm announce = no
You may need to set this in the smb.conf.tmpl file as well incase the config file get recreated.
restart and it should disappear after a bit.
