Hi there!

I have a problem with my EFW 2.5.2: EA Games' Origin application logs in fine, but you cannot download any games. By bypassing the firewall, it works 100%...
How can I fix this?

Thanks! Smiley

I disabled the firewall on EFW, I only use it for a proxy and filtering of porn sites etc. Should I still need to forward ports?
Thanks!

EA probably won't go through great efforts to give you a list of their public addresses, so here is a more viable solution or two

1- more aggravating,  make sure your firewall rules are set to log, and open your log live watch. You are probably going to want to know the specific network IP your console is assigned so you can filter for it. Add the IP address in the filter and also filter for "drop" in the secondary filter field. create your firewall rules accordingly.

2- less aggravating, ping your console from your computer, open the command prompt "assuming windows" and type arp -a. Find your address and copy the MAC address. Create your first firewall rule that states from source MAC "your mac from the console" destination Red "any" allow all traffic. You can then feel confident to turn your firewall back on, you wont have to worry about the address changing if dynamic as it wont matter, the mac will never change, unless you purposefully spoof it...LOL

You might also want to bypass the proxy from the mac as well, not sure myself as I don't really browse the net with my Playstation, but who knows, maybe I'll give it a shot.

Here you can find which port you need to open for Origin
https://help.ea.com/en/article/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/

TCP Port 80 and 443 are opened by default in the Endian Outgoing traffic
UDP port 443 and TCP 8080 are not opened and you need to add a new rule
