Endian Firewall same IP class?

Good Morning, I have a question not about a problem, but about a strange thing that we see in Endian.
When in our company we use Clear Os 5.2, it's impossible have two NIC on the same lan, and IP address of the same class.
Trying Endian we test also this last - and usefully in many cases - possibility, (main lan and IP class) and we are amazed to see it work fine...
Note that Endian is also member of Active Directory and users authenticated on the firewall with AD credentials.
Conclusion:
Configuring RED in static mode, the graphic Interface display an error saying that is not a correct configuration.
Configuring RED in DHCP mode and GREEN in static mode, with GREEN lan IP on the same IP Class of the RED it work.
But...
How it work?
And, more important question, is a reccomandable configuration?
We don't risk network crashes or down?
I wait for a question.
Bye!
