User Bypass feature

I am currently reviewing Endian Firewall for my school.

We currently have a Sonicwall with a user bypass feature.  When a student or staff needs to do research in a area that gets blocked, the student can have the teacher login to the Sonicwall's web interface.  Once they are logged in, they can bypass the filtering while supervising the student.

This happens a LOT and would be impossible to do manually for the kids and staff if we had to go into the firewall and set a bypass for that username or computer IP then turn it off.

Is there a feature anywhere in the Endian Web interface to provide this functionality? I am not seeing it.

I don't think so. You probably need another filter on your endian, like Schoolfilter Plus (www.schulfilterplus.de).

With the Schoolfilter Plus you can define for users/groups or ip/ranges a different filtering. It works not with white/blacklist but with categories in that sites are cateorized.
But the Schoolfilter Plus is not free.

As a side note this forum will not let me change my email anywhere! how do I edit my profile info? click on profile and all I get it general settings and nothing can be changed.

This is not a feature on Endian by default, but can be implemented.
The content filtering is based of on Squid, a well known proxy cache.

It can be done, but unfortunately this is not a very easy task.
