Squid Blocking Sites whenever the Internet connetion faults

Hi all
I have been using endian as my firewall/proxy for some months at home and have also attempted to use it in a school (as I am one of the techs)
But we have found a rather Large Problem
When ever the internet connection hiccups (shots dns outages things like that) endians Squid blocks sites that were requested during the outage, even when the connection returns.
and by block, I mean we get: URL cannot be retrieved: ACCESS DENIED message
We had major issues when it decided to block Google, and the only way we could find to fix it was to restart the box
Any Ideas on whats causing this and ways to prevent it would be greatly appreciated, as we cannot have Google getting blocked every time there is a connection fault
Thanks.
