QOS QUESTION - CANT GET IT TO WORK!

I can't get QOS TO WORK!.
HISTORY / SETUP: We have a T-1 and a DSL line, I have one endian box on each connection, I upgraded the T-1 to Endian 2.3 so I can kill my linksys infavor of a real firewall that now supports port ranges. previously I had endian running on the web server and the Trixbox going through a little cable router, this worked very well but I had to indication of use and I just dont like using the linksys device, but there are few options before endian 2.3 that allowed forwarding of port ranges to allow trixbox / sip to function properly. I have messed with the QOS Settings ALOT trying to set everything by port then port ranges, setting everything to low and the trixbox to HIGH, most recently I set it to not use ports but prioritize traffic based on the server ip only but this isn't working either. no matter what seem to do if the line becomes saturated quality goes to hell for the voice calls. This DID NOT happen before with the two seperate devices I could hammer and saturate the t-1 with web traffic and the CISCO router was able to priortize voice to the linksys properly, but this single ENDIAN box is killing me, obviously I can put in another endian and be back in business but that seems to defeat the purpose of QOS and Endian for that matter.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED, I HOPE ITS JUST A SIMPLE MATTER OF ME NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING HERE.
THANKS IN ADVANCE - KEVIN
