Hi everyone

We have version 2.4.1 installed. Somone put it in for us so we could mainly monitor the networks internet activity and restrict it if neccesary.

Everything was fine but we have a new server with Sophos Puremessage on it and I cannot for the life of me get the spam digest to work through the firewall.

This is the address:

local.local.local:8081/quardigest.asp?email=someemail@address.com

when trying to access the page I get:

"The following error was encountered:
Access Denied.
Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed at this time"

I have tried turning off the firewall, adding the port into the proxy allowed posts, adding to whitelists but nothing works and I am really stuck with finding what is blocking this and how to  it.

After spending many hours on this, and as a total novice to Endian, I can see that there is no content filtering going on and literally it just seems to be there for logging the internet traffic.

Can anyone offer any advice on how I can track this down and what to look for to solve it?

Thanks a lot

I believe most have switched to 2.51 or 3.0 already.

Hey thanks for replying.

In desperation I have now upgraded to 3 but unfortunately now nothing connects to the web proxy at all - it just says "unable to connect to proxy server" when connecting from a browser. The status light is showing green but any clue how I can find out why it is not working?

Thanks again.

No I didnt. I don't seem to have any such option unless I am missing something?

The interface seems almost the same to the original version I was using.

Thanks for the help.

I ended up reinstalling and starting again and now it seems to have solved it - thanks
