I had the same problem on 2.4.1 and 2.5.1.

Green 10.0.0.0/24
Gateway 192.168.0.2

I want to create a static route for the subnet 10.0.1.0/24 so I create (via GUI):
Source: 10.0.1.0/24
Destination 0.0.0.0
Via Gateway: 192.168.0.1

After applied, I can see it on the routes page, but it doesn't work.
Through the console I can see:
