no install

i get to a large box on the screen, and all usb support  drops,,so now i have  to use the old  ps2 keyboard.
i got  that much figured out.

the options are telling
error :  "failure reading from section 0x2 from " hd0"
error :  "you need to load the kernal first"
 i have a pile of around 7 HD that i erase format, & install mint on just fine. still no install.
after i hit the enter button it  starts saying
 error : overlap detected
pleas advise.
