Title: URL Filter Updates Post by: rnsc on Sunday 21 February 2010, 10:28:59 am I am just evaluating EFW, and it is awesome compared to two other leading FW I have used for a few years each.
HOWEVER, I am shocked that there is no way to update the URL Blacklists, that one has to understand the workings of Dan's Guardian and manually patch in new files, some reformated. Further, that the list that ships with the recently releases version is over four years old! Isn't the idea of something like this that you push a button and it happens? The controls for every other function are worlds ahead of the others I have used. It is just a huge inconsistency... apparently. Am I missing something big-time? Thanks. This is good news!
So evidently I HAVE missed something, although for the life of me I cannot find where/how to update the URL Blacklist Definitions. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!
