Title: Supported/Recommended Wireless NICs Post by: trymes on Tuesday 10 July 2012, 05:13:47 am I am looking to build an Endian system with a Wireless Blue zone, and I am wondering what NICs are supported out of the box.
For testing purposes, I installed a system with a Ralink RT2870 USB device, but that does not seem to be seen by endian. It does show up in 'lsusb'. The built-in Broadcom BCM4312 is also not seen, but shows up in 'lspci'. Obviously, both of these devices aren't exactly the best choice out there, but before I go and invest in a new NIC, I would like to know it will work well and get the job done. Any suggestions? How are you planning to overcome the lack of wireless configuration interface, complete manual configuration? |
