hi there,

Just installed Endian and I am so far very impressed with it.

However, I cannot connect to windows update to update my client machines.

Proxy logs tell me:

192.168.10.29 TCP_DENIED/403 339

and

192.168.10.29 TCP_DENIED/403 2784 (I attempted to post all the output in a code box, but the forums tell me I can't post clickable links)

All the windows update addresses are in the white list as per a technet article I read.

Proxy is running in transparent mode as the client's default gateway.

Any ideas at all?

Many thanks,

Transparent proxy doesn't intercept all the ports windows need to function. Just try this, setup a test computer, setup a rule in proxy and access profile to allow access as you did you other computers, create a outgoing rule in firewall to allow all traffic from that computer's ip to outside using any protocol tcp/udp and port 403, 339, 2784 and 53 . Try windows update now to see if this work?
