EFW Squid: proxy_auth REQUIRED doesn't work

Good day all,
I've installed EFW 2.3 and thus far the configuration went well except for the Proxy part. I set the proxy to not-tranparent, configures the Authentication with AD, joined the Domain.
My only only problem is that EFW doesn't ask for a password for any outgoing traffic but logs the username and website beautifully. I was quite surprised because in v2.2 I struggled my off to get the AD auth working and now it works except for the password prompting issue.
In the squid.conf the ACL <blah> <blah> proxy_auth REQUIRED is there with the relevant external program details but ya, it still doesn't ask for the password.
What can I do to make sure that Squid does ask for a password? Do I have to disjoin the FW from the domain?
